Photograph caption dated August 2, 1955 reads, "History of rose related - Bill Newman, public relations director of County Park and Recreation Department, describes different types of roses in world-famed Descanso Rose Garden to youthful listeners, Linda Weigert, 10, and Meade Curtin, 11, of North Hollywood.
