Annie Eliza Fredenbur was born in Uhrichsville, Ohio in 1847 to Joseph Ewart and Elvira (Crawford) Fredenbur. In 1873 she married John Bradshaw Evans. Came to San Francisco, working as secretary for insurance company about 1885. Married Henry Payot in 1893. An active philanthropist, she was member of board of directors of Children's Hospital, did charitable work during World War I, active in San Francisco Tuberculosis Association and San Francisco Remedial Loan Society. She died in 1927.
