Irvine Welsh discusses his novel, “Glue.” He begins by explaining that his book is told through a series of flashbacks in the life of his two main protagonists. He talks about how he incorporated Scottish traditions into his book, and his own childhood growing up in Scotland. He describes how he became a writer through his love of music and songwriting. Welsh discusses his writing processes and his use of informal slang language. Martinson asks Welsh to read a passage from the book about friends meeting in a bar.
