Photographic portrait of G. H. Meek, brother of Stephen H. Meek, a hunter and trapper of 1833, [s.d.]. Meek is seated in a wooden chair at right and is turned to the left. His legs are crossed and both of his hands rest in his lap. He is wearing dark pants, a long-sleeved shirt, white socks, leather shoes, and a dark, broad-brimmed hat. He has a long gray beard. A book is hung from the back of the chair. At left is a cast iron pot hung from a wooden pole, and a tea kettle is on the ground nearby. Bushes and trees can be seen in the background.
