Description
Photograph in panorama of Hollywood looking north from Mount Olive, California, ca.1921. The city is visible below, with a lavish, Romanesque mansion visible facing the camera to the extreme left, next to which a palm tree is surrounded by a circular drive way. Besides this mansion, houses similar to each other in style and color line either side of the street along with the evenly-spaced palm trees. The city and houses extend into the hills in the background. Mountains are visible behind them. In the extreme foreground, a tree at right is supported by a stake it is tied to.
