"In the waters of the river to be baptized. 1 - Sr. Jesus Mercado 2 - Sra. Maria A. de Frevino 3 - Sra. Maria Luioa Vitela 4 - Sr. Alfoneza Frevino 5 - Sra. Eulobia Martinez 6 - Sra. Lucita Alda de Conejo 7 - Joven Gilberto Haros 8 - Sra. Jesucita S. Haros November 12, 1944 Durango, Dgo." A group photograph of individuals awaiting baptism in a river outside of Durango, Mexico. In the back row, the preacher has his right hand raised towards the sky as he prepares to begin baptizing the individuals in the photograph. This was a common practice in Churches of Christ during this time.
