Photo shows the unveiling ceremony for the statue honoring General Douglas MacArthur at MacArthur Park. The podium is seen just to the left of the monument where a speaker, perhaps Douglas MacArthur, is standing. Many onlookers sit in boats to watch the proceedings. Formerly known as Westlake, the park was renamed in 1942 in honor of the general.
