Description
Photograph of Exposition Park (formerly Agricultural Park), showing field of roses and plants, 1930. In the extreme foreground at left, a large tree is visible. In the background, a small brick railing borders the rectangular park. A small street lamp is visible beside an iron gate at right. Rows of roses can be seen throughout the large park extending into the far background. The landscape of the park is entirely symmetrical. At the exact center of the park, a circular fountain is visible. A wide path lined with spherical bushes bisects the park into two separate halves. All structures and plants on one half appear in a similar location on the other half. Several people can be seen walking around the rose gardens. In the extreme background at center, the State Armory building is visible.
