Photograph of an oil well, La Cienega Blvd. near Beverly, Feb. 16, 1931. Foreground features a road that curves around an oil well in the center of the photograph. An automobile can be seen on the left-hand side of the road turn-out. A second oil well can be seen behind the automobile, in the background. Utility poles flank both sides of the road. Buildings can be seen on both sides of the road, in the background. The faint outline of a mountain ridge can be seen in the distance through a thick layer of haze.
