Description
A woman wearing a fashionable Circassienne dress of pale yellow with three-quarter length sleeves and a very low scooped neckline. White ruffles detail the sleeves and line the low collar. Pearls or beads line the neck at the center of the ruffle and there is a white bow on the bodice. The dress has an overskirt, and seems to be worn over panniers. The same white ruffle and pearl trim edges the overskirt, and the knee length hem of the underskirt. Above the hem is a second line of ruffle and pearl trimming. There is a gathered yellow ruffle at the hem. She wears a small hat with a large yellow gauze pouf decorated with pearls and pink flowers. She wears a pearl choker necklace with a long drop pendant of pearls and gold bracelets on both arms. She wears yellow high heeled shoes with white flowers on them. Her right hand reaches up to her cheek and she looks to the left. She stands on a balcony, with trees in the distance.
