Description
Scene of a child playing near the K Street Fountain that once stood at Eleventh and K St. Constructed in 1969, this fountain is one of several water features added to the K Street Mall as part of a revitalization plan. Citing traffic issues, the city demolished the fountain in 1981 as part of a new renovation attempt. The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament is seen on the upper left, and the Hotel Regis on the upper right. Taken in 1978.
