Description: Young men in jeans and jackets wait to be processed after being picked up for drag racing. One, left, is sitting in the "shoeshine" seat next to the sign advertising rates. Photo caption reads: "Hot rodders booked in Hollywood for asserted drag racing. These youths were among 22 persons cited for drag racing in 'souped up' autos at Forest Lawn Dr. and Griffith Park Blvd., in Hollywood. More than 50 other drag racers escaped, police said". Photo dated: Jan. 6, 1960.
