Photograph caption dated May 14, 1957 reads "All Judy Croe, 17, Miss Coast Guard Recruiter, has to do is powder her nose to attract recruits to Coast Guard booth at San Fernando Valley Modern Living Festival in Devonshire Downs, Northridge. Recruiter Burt Whitenack has no trouble finding young men eager to learn about the Coast Guard. Festival closes Sunday."
