Alt title from cover. An interesting transitional map: territory between the Rio Grande and Nueces Rivers is marked as in dispute between Texas and Mexico; N. Mexico is shown arbitrarily ending at the beginning of the Gila River and is colored only to the west of the Rio Grande. Envelope dates as 1847. MS note: 35597. Prime meridian: Washington. Relief: hachures. Graphic Scale: Miles. Projection: Polyconic. Printing Process: Lithography.
