Hand-colored view of three vignetts: (left) three-story brick factory building on the corner of Sixth and H Streets with flag on top, horse-drawn carriage and wagon in front, railroad freight car at right; (top, right) two-story residence of Fred Mier with porch railing around second floor, people in the street; (bottom, right) two-story brick store on J Street between Sixth and Seventh, open doors with people on sidewalk, horse-drawn wagon with furniture on street. On back side of print: (not hand-colored) "A Birds-eye View on the Ranch of V. F. Strauch, 510 acres, 10 miles north of Sacramento Cal."; shows farm house, barns, outbuildings, windmill, cows, pigs, houses, chickens, ducks, people in horse-drawn wagons, wagons and workers in the fields.
