Description
V2p16a In PHOTO ALBUM-VAULT: ** fc917.9461 A3, Vol. II, page 16 top left. This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco." Bust-length portrait of Henry U. Brandenstein, with shelves of law books behind him. Text written on photo: "H.U. Brandstien [sic]. Attorney." Brandenstein, besides maintaining a law office in the Mills Building, served several terms on the Board of Supervisors beginning in 1899. He later was appointed Park Commissioner and afterwards Fire Commissioner (Note based on : "Municipal Blue Book, San Francisco 1915"). Also have negative no. (4x5 in.): 29,588.
