Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated April 11, 1964 reads, "Richard Gilkeson, Montclair School junior from Australia, prepares to demonstrate art of boomerang throwing." The article partially reads, "Richard Gilkeson, 17, a junior at Montclair School, Reseda, came to the Valley this year after living in Australia seven years...Nevertheless, the shy young man with a surfer-style haircut has attracted attention among his fellow students with his ability to throw a boomerang...Gilkeson gets little chance to practice his skill here. The sharp, rapidly whirling club is not suitable for heavily populated areas. Shortly after the pictures on this page were taken in Reseda Park, Gilkeson hurriedly left the area under the disapproving eye of a park official."; See images #00117818 through #00117821 for all photos in this series.
