Description: Letter written at the 3rd Army Corps Hospital near Alexandria, Virginia, by Philip Griffin to Captain Bernard J. Reid. Griffin tells Reid about his recent whereabouts, his health and the fact that he is not ready to rejoin the regiment, the fact that he has not received ten months worth of pay, the weather, and of his hopes that Reid's family is doing well.
