Photograph of aviators Glenn Curtiss, Frank H. Johnson, and Clifford B. Harmon with a Curtiss biplane at the Dominguez Hills Air Meet, ca.1910. Mr. Curtiss is standing at right and is wearing a dark suit and a cap. He has a mustache, and his hand is gripping the frame of the biplane at right. Mr. Johnson is seated at the controls of the aircraft at center and is wearing a dark pinstriped suit while Mr. Harmon is standing on the ground at left and is wearing a light suit. The wooden airplane has two canvas covered wings at left, and between them is a small engine. The plane is supported by a tricycle landing gear system.
