Description
Note: "Kg. Ndj. Veter Johane Nzimonga Lehrer, v. vornen. (Wuhrmann, A., 1917. Beschreibung zu den Lichtbildern aus Bamum. E-30-0,6).
Note translation: "K[in]g Mj[oya's] cousin, Johanne Mzimonga, a teacher, from the front. Johanne Nzimonga is a half-brother of Mose Yeyab. Like Yeyab he is also a teacher in the mission school, the one who stayed calmest then times were difficult, and the one we could rely on most. He was not concerned with praise or blame, but went quietly on his way, doing his duty as pne free-born, carries his head high, and has a humble heart. He has given the gospel no cause for shame, but instead lived to its honour and glory." (A. Wuhrmann, Commentaries on the Slides from Bamum, E-30-6, K 343.)
