View of young girl and man fishing from pier-railing with long [bamboo?] poles cast into the water below. Shows two-masted steamer docked at pier, several men walking on pier beyond. Girl wears pinafore dress with wide-brimmed hat with ribbon band, leggings and solid shoes. Fence-like gate behind pair at left. Hand-written on verso, "Santa Barbara Historic Scenes, A5-2."
