Description
Photograph of a panoramic view of Hollywood looking south from the head of Orange Street, ca.1910. Craftsman-style residential houses fill the foreground, separated lawns and palm trees. To the left, a long strip of property holds only two houses with a horse standing between them the rest is a grass-covered lot. Behind this, non-residential buildings, one of which features a capping dome, appear to be grouped together. To the right, a strip of paved, unlined street extends in from the bottom of the image. A field of oil siphons can be seen in the cleared expanse of the distance. Compares to CHS-5903 (1905) and CHS-6974 (1928).
