Photograph of a chariot race at the Pasadena Tournament of Roses, ca.1908. Two chariots, each pulled by four horses, are racing down a dirt track lined with countless onlookers. There is an elevated obsevation box on the left of the track, possibly the location of a judge or VIP. Atop this box is an American flag. Behind the crowd there is a large building partially obscured by a big tree. In the background is a line of snow-covered mountains.
