Fifield Manor was retirement home, formerly the Chateau Elysée Apartments. Retirement home was work of Mrs. Helen R. Fifield, wife of pastor the First Congregational Church of Los Angeles. Apartments purchased, and non-profit corporation created for Fifield Manor in 1951.
