To the right of center, a group of five children play some sort of paddle game over a low hanging net while an adult on the left supervises. In the background, children are visible around the park. A lightly colored building sits above the children with an American flag on a pole to the right. A mountain is visible to the left in the background. Photoprint reads "Outdoor play is enjoyed by children the year around at municipal playgrounds and recreation centers operated by the Los Angeles Playground and Recreation Department. Here is a typical playground where, summer or winter, children enjoy healthful, wholesome recreational activities, under excellent supervision".
