Photograph article dated March 23, 1959 partially reads, "More than 250 North Hollywood boys between the ages of 8 and 12, will be taught to swim free during the fourth annual Learn To Swim Program opening today for the Easter vacation. The program, headed by veteran swimming instructor Gordon Hughes, is open to all boys in the community, regardless of membership in the UMCA, who fall within the qualifying age bracket."
