Stanwyck and Katherine Danzig were appointed guardians of the three daughters of producer Peter Godfrey, a patient at the Motion Picture Hospital in Woodland Hills, and Renee Haal Godfrey, who died from cancer on May 24, 1964. Stanwyck is the girls' godmother.
