Jimmy Sears, tailback for the SC Trojans, set out for considerable yardage returning punts in the Army game here earlier in the season. Sears rates the leading punt returner in the country, a total of 431 yards in 25 runs. Three of these have been for touchdowns in addition to being a great defensive back, Sears is also the leading offensive threat for his team, shining as a passer and ball carrier. He weighs only 165 pounds yet hits with the scorce of a 200-pounder, and is also a deadly tackler. Photo dated: November 22, 1952.
