Photograph caption dated October 30, 1956 reads, "Dist.) [sic] confers with Jacque Boyle, Assembly candidate in 41st District, and Mrs. Bryce Schurr at second Republican headquarters opened in San Fernando, at 1023 Celis St. Mrs. Schurr heads office. Absentee ballots may be obtained at headquarters which will serve as volunteer center as well." Pictured, center, is Congressman Edgar Hiestand (R-21st Dist.).
