V1p189a In PHOTO ALBUM-VAULT: ** fc917.9461 A3, Vol. I, page 189 top. This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco." Text written under photo: "Marshall Square opposite 8th St. after the City Hall had been torn down. 1916." View looks northwest across Market Street from 8th at Marshall Square. The Pioneer Monument is in the middle of the plaza, with City Hall Avenue and the site of the former City Hall beyond. A few men and a woman are walking around and crossing the streets.
