Title supplied by cataloger. Opened on December 13, 1950, the California Theater was in operation until the 1970's, when the Burbank Community Church took over the building. In the late-1970's, the church re-constructed the theater, but despite the re-design, traces of the former theater remain. Aerial view of the California Theater, located at 3310 West Magnolia Boulevard in Burbank. Numerous businesses on Magnolia Boulevard, including a Thrifty Drug (to the left of the theater), line the thoroughfare and dozens of dwellings surround the commercial strip. Photograph was taken for Pacific Drive-In Theaters. Photograph dated June 20, 1965.
