Photograph caption dated September 16, 1963 reads, "Six Los Angeles City Fire Department units, under the direction of Battalion Commander Stanley Borden, battle an apartment fire at 6220 Lemona Ave.,Van Nuys. Damage was set at more than $2,000 in blaze which erupted at 4:10 p.m. Sunday, a department spokesman said.
