Porter of Van Nuys holds heavily laden branch of his Anoka apple tree, purchased in the Ozarks and planted in 1950. He attributes bountiful apple crop to injections given the tree by hypodermic needle containing his own plant food formula. Tree did not flourish until treatment was started."
