Description
Numbered ticket is for David Garrick's Shakespeare Jubilee at Stratford upon Avon on September 6th and 7th of 1769. Tickets allows admission to "The Oratorio. The Dedication Ode. The Ball. And to the Great Booth at the Fireworks." Price of ticket is one guinea. Ticket includes an image of Shakespeare leaning on a column. On ticket can be seen the signature of George Garrick, David Garrick's younger brother. Ticket also contains a watermark, mostly intact wax seal, and a signature on right hand side.
