Photograph caption dated December 20, 1956 reads, "John Stephens is the pivot man, or center, for the University of Missouri basketball horde which has two important dates here this weekend. Old Mizzou plays UCLA tomorrow night in the second game of a double header, the opener being USC vs. Loyola, and then meets USC Saturday night when the Bruins oppose Occidental at Pan-Pacific Auditorium."
