Description
Image shows a bird's-eye view of the Colonel John Chambers Low residence, located on Palos Verdes Drive West on lot 19, block 1515, tract 6886. The lush garden of the two-story stucco house with tile roof and chimney is shown in the foreground, with an automobile parked on the street and garage visible at far right. Two other houses are visible in the background, with Palos Verdes Drive West in the foreground, Via Media in the center, and Paseo del Mar furthest away. The cities of Redondo Beach and Torrance are visible in the distance. The Pacific Ocean, Santa Monica mountain range and snowcapped San Gabriel Mountains are visible in background. The house was the second house to receive a building permit in Palos Verdes. The architects were Roth & Parker.
