Background: By Emma Street Hively Oak Grove School: It was built originally in 1854 on top of the hill on the Gilliam place. It was moved to a new location on Occidental Road on land owned by Mr Story about 1860 by being placed upon skids and pulled by oxen. It was there but a short time, being moved to its present location in what is now the town of Graton on land donated by Col. Clymons and was built by neighbors who donated the material and labor
