This is the specially-equipped baggage car of Southern Pacific Starlight train in which two polio patients in iron lungs were brought here from San Jose on August 31, 1954. The victims are Mrs. Bettey Sohm, 45 (2) and Delores Gomes,18 (2). A doctor, two nurses' aides and an air-conditioning expert accompanied them on the trip, enroute to Rancho Los Amigos Hospital.
