Lambda board members Dan Relic and Winn Crannell hand a check to Billy DeFrank president, Juanita Bloch, and treasurer, Martin Kirkland.
Written on verso: "Fig 29. Left to right: Lambda board members Dan Relic and Winn Crannell surrenders a $4,600 check to DeFrank president Roberta Bloch and Martin Kirkland treasurer, 1981. circa Ted Sahl (C)." See Ted Sahl, "From Closet to Community," p. 16. Lambda was originally an outreach organization for gays and lesbians that created programs for the community. They also tried to bridge the gap between the straight and gay communities.
