Description
Photograph of the R.F.C. labor force constructing the Yosemite Drive and Eagle Rock Blvd. storm drain, August 10, 1933. A deep ditch with perfectly vertical walls lines the center of the image. Wooden beams support the ditch while wooden planks are placed over the beams to provide a platform for the workers on the right. The top half of a man is visible in the center foreground of the ditch while men's heads and body parts can be seen above and through the beams into the background. To the right, men with shovels stand facing the viewer at the edge of the ditch. The cylindrical cement parts that will make up the drain can be seen to the left along with a large piece of construction equipment.
