Description
Hose crew sprays still-smoking wreckage of military plane following crash. Crowd gathers in large ring around site. Fire and military personnel on site. Pilot Lt. Robert Hartung had flown 35 missions over Germany during World War II, but was killed in routine training flight. He managed to guide plane to only open spot in area near residential, oil, and hospital areas. Oil derricks on hill in background.
