Description
Photograph of a view of an American Expeditionary Force one hundred fifty-five millimeter artillery piece, ca.1915. The large barrel of the cannon is aimed to the left. Its massive wheels and gun carriage are at right. Two artillerymen stand near the gun, one manning a wheel used to aim the gun, and the other operating the breech-loading mechanism. There is a low picket fence in the background, and behind the fence is a line of trees. The characters "US N2O" are painted on the gun carriage.
