Actress Barbara Payton, bride of actor Franchot Tone, appeared before the Federal grand jury for 45 minutes and may be recalled for additional testimony. Asst. Atty. Norman W. Neukom conducted the questioning of the actress with regard to her version of the alibi story of Stanley Adams, suspect in the murder of narcotics peddler Abe Davidian in Fresno on February 28, 1950.
