Van Nuys is now served by the Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber of Commerce, with its headquarters located at 7120 Hayvenhurst Avenue, Suite 114 in Van Nuys. The structure seen here later became a restaurant. Photograph caption dated August 10, 1960 reads, "Typical of the rapid growth of Van Nuys and the valley as a whole is the move of Van Nuys Chamber of Commerce to large quarters at 6622 Van Nuys Boulevard. The new offices, between Kittridge and Vanowen, are conveniently located in the center of downtown Van Nuys shopping district. Above, carrying chamber's model of new Valley Administrative Center are, left to right, C. Merle Duckett, of Citizens National Bank, chamber treasurer; Edmund J. Caffrey and Nels LaVally, respectively director of services and secretary-manager of the chamber."
