Photograph caption dated October 26, 1960 reads "Pastors Simmons, center, and Spindt, right." Lutheran Reverends John G. Simmons and George A. Spindt welcome Lutheran Bishop K. F. Otto Dibelius to the San Fernando Valley. Dibelius, an East German Church leader, is a world figure known for his attacks on the police-state methods of the Communists in the East Zone of Berlin.
