Plates in: The Pacific Coast of Central America and Mexico : the Isthmus of Panama; Guatemala; and the cultivation and shipment of coffee, plate 23.
Cover title: Photographic studies of Central America and the Isthmus of Panama.
Shows stone walls, gate and building. Figures in foreground include women carrying water jars or laundry, ox cart in front of gate.

The photographs were taken by Muybridge in 1875. Five sets only were published, two of which are no longer in existence. Signed by photographer on title page.
