Photograph was edited for publication purposes
Photograph caption dated March 13, 1948 reads "Wads of paper and other trash accumulating in fire hose cabinet could jam hose if a blaze broke out. Ray Abernathy, fire inspector, explains why danger lurks there to Ray Compton, principal of North Hollywood Junior High school. Firemen (sic) also recommends that fire box be moved outside cabinet where it can be seen sooner."
