Kenneth Hopper writes Mr. B. Inoue, of Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd., saying that he was very aided by Inoue's suggestion that Hopper not try to compare the contributions of individuals to the new Japanese management. Hopper shares that Dr. Brooke Hindle, who had been the director of the Smithsonian, is concerned with getting the material Hopper is putting together published. He mentions the names of authorities he plans to quote from on the leadership role of SEI (Sumitomo Electric Industries) in developing company wide quality and on the value of the CCS (Civil Communications Section). Hopper says he may be writing a pamphlet for the Asian Productivity Organization. Hopper goes on to say that Professor R. E. Cole, Director of the Center for Japanese Studies at the University of Michigan, has written a book on QC circles. The letter contains Hopper's signature.
