Christopher made the charge during a tour Saturday of the San Fernando Valley. Above, Christopher is shown, at left, with Republican Assemblyman Lou Cusanovich, Penny Smith, 14, Northridge; Vicky Cole, 13, Canoga Park; Sandy Thompson, 14, Canoga Park, and Jeane Thompson, 18, Canoga Park. The GOP candidate for lieutenant governor, Christopher proposed formation of a state committee, composed of labor and management, state government representatives and retired military officers 'to survey the economic value and the military importance of every base and every factory in the sate. We must be ready at a moment's notice to discuss their future with Pentagon officials.'"
