Description
Photograph of a panoramic view of an automobile camp on Aliso Beach, ca.1930. An open-air picnic area is visible in the center with a thin roof that seems to be made out of some kind of straw (hay?). Behind the picnic area, a few cabins are visible along with hiking trails that lead up to a road trail that runs along a mountain, which appears to lead towards a cliff seen in the right. To the right and left of the cabins, dozens of cars with tents are parked next to the cabins on the beach. People are seen standing along the shore in the far right. Another picnic area (resting area?) is distinguishable to the left of the shore. People seem to be either lying down or sitting under it. In the foreground, a partially exposed hill is seen elevated from the beach area. The silhouette of a mountain and the ocean in the horizon is visible in the backdrop.
